Wine Tasting

mudbrick-images-004Our Cellar door is open from 10.30 am until approx 5pm during the summer season. It is open all year round, but hours are slightly shorter during the colder months.

At our cellar door you have a choice of two wine tastings. Our standard tasting of up to seven wines for $10.00 per person, or our premium tasting of five top wines for $15 per person. Ngarita, Tristan, or Bob who run our cellar shop will conduct these tastings by pouring and telling you a little about each one as you taste your way though. No appointment is necessary.

You are also most welcome to purchase a glass or bottle and sip it overlooking the sparkling waters of the Hauraki gulf in front of our cellar shop. We can provide you with gormet platters, cheeseboards, tea and coffee, or bread and dips to nibble on should you wish to sit and relax, and linger longer before moving on to your next destination. Our Cellar shop also has an eclectic mix of gifts and unusual items for sale.

Should you wish to organise a group tasting, or a guided tour of our vineyard (10 or more guests) please contact us in advance to make an appointment. The cost for a tour and tasting is $15 per guest, which takes approx half an hour and includes a tasting of three of our wines.
We hope you will enjoy visiting our cellar shop as much as we have enjoyed creating it.

Elite Gold Medal Air New Zealand Wine Awards
Gold Medal Bragato Wine Awards 2009

Chardonnay is not a well known grape variety from Waiheke - purely because it's grown is such small amounts, and is usually so devine, it hardly gets the chance to leave the vineyard!

This rich, complex but beautifully balanced Chardonnay from the 2008 vintage was 100% barrel fermented with 30% in new French barriques. On the nose this wine displays subtle hints of citrus, peach, toasty oak and nut characters. On the palate, refined stonefruit characters are supported by rich butterscotch and savoury notes in perfect balance. The finish is crisp and lingering.
