"I opt for feasting in the cozier Potager Bistro instead of the high-ceilinged main restaurant. My main course is a slow-roasted turbot fillet, seared scallops, and garden bean salad, and I finished with a New Zealand Cheese: Kapiti aged chedder camplemented by locally-made tamarind chutney. Mudbrick's rose and the vineyard's famous reserve chardonnay are just my types." - Stephanie Stephens; Globe Correrpondent - The Boston Globe
The Potager Garden Bistro is located adjacent to our main restaurant, amongst the Potager gardens. It is a lovely, intimate 9 table restaurant with a blackboard menu and a lovely view through the gardens to the surrounding vineyards and Hauraki Gulf beyond. A small private cortyard has an outdoor stone fire place and seating where you may like to enjoy pre dinner drinks watching the sun go down.
Bookings essential.
Open Thursday-Sunday evenings during the Summer months (Friday/Saturdays only in May) when the main restaurant is booked for an exclusive function. Contact our office (business hours) for availability.

This summer Waiheke Island's Mudbrick Vineyard Restaurant opens the Potager Garden Bistro offering relaxed evening dining over summer weekends. This new bistro is set in the potager garden where the tantalising aromas of the fresh herbs and rosemary will be sure to whet the appetite.
"Many people want to share a relaxing evening in the Mudbrick garden so we are opening the bistro as a special alternative dining experience over summer," says Robyn Jones, owner of Mudbrick Vineyard & Restaurant.
Mudbrick has the most extensive kitchen garden in Auckland. Diners will be able to enjoy eating alfresco beside a large stone fireplace surrounded by vines, gardens and treated to a beautiful view looking to Rangitoto.
Mudbrick's Potager Garden Bistro will open every Friday and Saturday evening over summer and occasionally on other evenings. Check with the restaurant for time and openings.
"Our Potager Garden Bistro is a more casual dining experience. It has a more casual European outdoor dining appeal, with a blackboard menu. It is a great match alongside the recognised international standard of the Mudbrick Vineyard Restaurant where we are known for lunch and dinner dining," says Robyn Jones.
"Both menus will include freshly harvested summer greens picked from our own garden. The Potager garden is a real edible feature of Mudbrick. It is modelled on a French kitchen garden with vegetables, herbs and edible flowers. Plants are chosen both for their flavour and also their shape and colour."

The black board menu shall change often but here is a sample view
