The Cliff House

Situated in Park Point, the Cliff House is a 2 minute drive to Mudbrick. The property was purchased in 2005 as bare land and is one of the most stunning spots on Waiheke - although that is the thing about Waiheke, there are so many stunning yet different views to be had on this incredibly beautiful island.

It is a truly breathtaking spot, the views hit you in a continuous wave. It is rural and peaceful and private, yet only 5 minutes from the ferry and Oneroa. It sits behind gate access only on 7 acres of coastal land.

The views are extremely dominant on this peninsula and Nick and Robyn wanted to create an environment where you felt like you were living outside, where the environment becomes part of the inside. And that's exactly how it does feel at the Cliff house, when you wake up in the morning it's like you've been sleeping in an outdoor room. Renowned architects Fearon Hay designed this house and they truly are masters of the outdoor room.

It has access to two beaches from the property, one beach is a private beach which would be just ideal to have private bridal shots either before or after a wedding. Indeed it is a perfect house to hire for a bridal party, as it accommodates up to 4 couples. It can be utilized to get ready beforehand, and provides the most superb backdrop for photos you could ever wish for, rain or shine. It also has access to the most stunning coastal walk, which is a must-do if you stay here. The walkway starts at the boundary and is truly one of the most memorable coastal walks on the island.

The Mudbrick philosophy is to create something special, and if you can't do that, don't do it! This property took three years to develop from purchase to completion. It takes a lot of time to create something special, we have realized, but every time, it's worth the wait.
