Harvest 2008

Vintage 2008 kick started with the harvest of our Chardonnay on March 14th. The fruit looked great and was showing some exceptional ripeness.

This years Viognier which was picked at 24.3 brix
is expected to make around 800 bottles - far exceeding last years production of a mere 76 bottles!

2008 has been a fantastic year for Waiheke wines, with our winemaker, Martin Pickering saying it is some of the best Merlot he's ever seen.

Inspired by the successes over the past year in several of New Zealand's top National Wine Tasting competitions, the vineyard and winery team are looking forward to creating more gold medal winners this year!
