This small production wine was grown exclusively on our Shepherds Point block in the Onetangi Basin. The 2006 vintage was exceptional with very good ripenesss levels in the fruit.This wine was aged in 60% new French oak barriques resulting in a wine thats has rich dense fruit with warm toasty character.

The grapes were all hand harvested and gently pressed before being cool fermented in 50% oak and 50% stainless steel to promote clean fruit expression. The wine was then left to age on lees adding broadness to the palate. The nose has classical varietal aromas of preserved stonefruit, ripe apricot and delicate honeysuckle, with a rich, long mouthfeel.
